We took a ferry from Koh Samui to Surat Thani where we got on a buss and crossed Thailand to the Andaman Sea side to Krabi where we took a long tail boat to Rai Leh. Rai Leh has no roads so we walked trails and took boats to get around. Also Rai Leh is a climbers destination because of the huge cliffs all over the place. We rented a sea kayak and went out for the day. Paddling and swimming around those cliffs was just wonderful.

These cliffs looked like they had melted - like stalagtites hanging on them. |
With a place like this we stayed out all day -- about cooked in the tropical sun. |
This is one place we stopped to swim because there is a small beach behind those two where the boat can be stashed -- we had a great time. |
The climber's beach was one of our stops |
If you look close there's a climber just over the trees on the cliffs. |
