We copied Jake and Julian on an email about Varanasi yesterday and we get a reply saying 'You are here now?? From Julian. They had just ridden into town and were in Varanasi so we met for dinner last night. Jake has a wheel badly out of true making yesterday's ride really difficult. They are doing great and have their blog going which is a really good blog. To bring you all up to date we met these New York City guys in Leh on their bicycles heading for Vietnam. Planning about a year's journey. Lalit was able to discuss routes with them and strategies of the border crossings on their route. Their blog: http://yesyesbicycle.com/the_blog/.
We were up for a sunrise boat trip on the Ganges. It was beautiful and interesting. I may be able to catch the blog up in a few days but we have another overnight train tonight so no computer access for a couple of days.

| We sat outside for dinner at our guest house and it got really cold which none of us really expected -- so in the photo below Julian had wrapped himself in the curtain in our room. I briefly thought that they should take the blanket off the bed for their 45 minute rickshaw ride home. |
